Grape variety: Pinot Noir (Blauburgunder – Pinot nero)
Vineyard location: Sloping sites of our vineyard in Girlan(435 m a.s.l.) and from a 550 m a.s.l. rolling hill close to Bolzano. Several varieties of french plants(clon) of vines
Winemaking: The fermentation process lasts about one week, using temperature controlled stainless steel tanks.During this process the important ingredients of the grapes are carefully extracted using the own CO2.Subsequently the juice terms the fermentation in 225 and 350 litres french oak casks.
Aging: For 12 months in 225 and 350 litres french oak casks(barrique) and bottle-aged for a further 8 months in our cellar before release. Excellent aging potential.
Yield: 45 hl/ha(ha=2,47acre)
Harvest: Mid – end of september
Colour: Dense ruby
Aroma: Explosion of fruit reminiscent of woodland berry, violets, vanilla and sour cherry
Flavour: Full bodied with fine and harmonius tannins, elegant on the palate with fruit sweetness.
Serving raccomandations: Grilled meat, roasts, game and mature chesses
Serving temperature: 18°- 20°C (F 64,4-68)
Alcohol: 13,50% by Vol.
Joanni Maso delle Rose
JOANNI - Vineyard Dolomites red Maso delle Rose 2015
Grape variety: Merlot,Cabernet e Lagrein
Vineyard location: the grapes come from two different areas: merlot and Cabernet from the Oltradige and lagrein from Gries in Bolzano
Yield: 85 q.li/ha
Winemaking: The fermentation takes place in steel tanks at controlled temperature and then matures in French oak barrels (barrique) for about 12 months and another 6 months of aging in the bottle.
Harvest: Beginning – mid October
Colour: Garnet Red
Aroma: Very fruity with notes of berries, vanilla and cherry
Flavour: Corto, full, fruity but also velvety
Serving raccomandations: With red meat, game and seasoned cheeses
Serving temperature: 18° – 20° C
Merlot Maso delle Rose
Südtiroler Merlot Doc 2007
Grape variety: Merlot
Vineyard location: Hill of Cornaiano, with presence of morainic, clayey, partially limestone.
Winemaking: During fermentation in controlled steel tanks, the remnants of the marc are made soft without any mechanical action, exploiting the Co2 that is growing in fermentation.
Harvest: towards the end of October
Aging: The wine matures in small barrels of French oak (barrique) 225 liters, followed by an aging for another 6 months in the bottle.
Colour: Garnet Red
Aroma: Berries, plum, elderberry berries and black pepper
Flavour: Full, full bodied, very persistent, noble and elegant tannins
Serving raccomandations: Suitable for rabbit meat, grilled meats, game dishes and seasoned cheeses
Serving temperature: 18°-20°C
